Mazda 6 – grossly underrated

With the car industry as it is, its not uncommon for excellent car to get noticed. The Mazda 6 2009 model is one of this, which, for the price range for $21,000 – $29,000, you don’t only get to where you want to go, but you go there in style, and fast.

The car has been made slightly heavier than its predecessors, which isn’t exactly a bad thing in this case. The new 2009 Mazda 6 has also gained a lot of power, and has sacrificed none of it’s comforts and ease of use. Available in both manual and automatic version, both dish up a lot of power for such a small (not to mention cheap) car.

One slight downside is that the Mazda isn’t as fuel economic as desired, but it depends on the person whether a small difference in fuel consumption is a big issue for him or for her.

2009 Audi A5

audia5The car is one of good looks and respectable speed, just what you’d expect from a luxury car and car maker such as Audi. Much cheaper then a comparable Mercedes Benz, the car is powerful yet the steering kinda’ feels mechanical giving it a feel of distance for which their cars are known. Low flung seats and bold curves, distinctive of its predecessors graces the A5, but under the hood it’s merely a two-door version of the A4 3.2 Liter Quattro Sedan. Options available include 19-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, auto dimming mirrors, self-opening trunk lid, adaptive cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, key less ignition, heated seats, a whopping 505 Watt audio system by Bang and Olufsen, rear-view mirror with parking assist and much more.
You do get a lot with the standard off the shelf package like, 18-inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing wipers, sunroof, tri-zone climate control, power seats, all leather upholstery and a 10-speaker audio system with an audio input jack to iPodize your driving experience. The car is rated to be just fine by most reviews and it is good looking but the overall power it delivers when you press down on the pedal is still one hell of a ride.

BMW’s High Tech Rules in safety

BMW is one of the most prestigious car maker from Europe that excels in safety features such as adaptive lights technology and thermal imaging systems that makes night into day and night parking an easy task. Such innovations have made it easier for drivers of oncoming vehicles that often get blinded by the headlights of oncoming traffic. Adaptive lights has the headlights tied to the steering wheel sensing the direction it is going following suit. On inclines, it sticks to the road using gyroscopes preventing blinding flashes as you drive over the incline. The system continuously monitors road conditions to offer maximum illumination when needed and when it still isn’t enough, thermal imaging cameras allow vision through the darkest nights and through rough weather.
These technologies are more akin to military hardware but are making the roads safer and brighter minimizing accidents. Newer technology such as collision-avoidance which checks the distance of objects/vehicles in front of the car and alerting/even applying appropriate braking pressure assisting the driver to take appropriate action.
